What a screwed up interview . . . SIGH ! !
It was raining heavily last Friday morning. I had to drop by school to take my testimonial from my HOD...really nice of her to write me one. I was in school at 8.30am done preparing all my documents by 8.50am...and guess what?? The rain was still damn heavy and I really mean DAMN HEAVY...
Tried to call for a cab to pick me up but all the damn cab companies don't wanna answer my call hahaha...its like all the unlucky stuff happens to me at the same moment LOL. My interview was at 10.10am and I wanted to be there earlier. Finally got through to the cab operator on the line hahaha hearing her voice was like seeing angel from heaven LOL. The cab arrived at 9.30am and I was thinking,"Not so bad after all...".
Guess what...at 9.50am, I was still stucked in a heavy traffic jam at the PIE. Hmmm...I guess thats the end of my interview...I finally reached MOE HQ at 10.00am. Changing visitor pass, waiting for elevator and filling up forms took a while. I finally entered the interview room at 10.15am. I am still not settled down yet. The interviewers were great...friendly and the questions were relevant for me. It lasted for like 15 mins. I went off and took a bus home.
I was at home relaxing when the phone rang. It was 4.45pm. The admin personnel from MOE called. I was shocked. The interview outcome can't be out so fast. Guess what...its just another screw up of the day sigh...she said I gave them my Military IC instead of my pink IC. So she told me to fax over my pink IC asap cuz the interviewers are going thru my documents. It may sound fine but to me, all this small little details give an impression about myself.
I just hope that I made it through although the confidence level I have right now is close to ZERO hahaha...well who noes 1% of hope + all the luck my friends and students wished for me help in a way...

OMG . . . My interview is tomorrow ! !
Finally, the day is here. My MOE interview is tomorrow. Hmmm let me check my to do list...ok all done. My HOD is really nice to write me a testimonial. Really appreciate it very much. I wonder what will they ask...? I hope I do fine tomorrow. Well I never had problems before in interviews but I am still nervous about tomorrow. Maybe cuz its an important moment in my life...my career depends on tomorrow.
My colleagues and HODs in West Grove said that I'll do great and they have the confidence in me. They even welcome me back to West Grove not as an ICT Trainer but as one of them...a full fledged teacher...The sweetest things of all...my students hahaha they started planning to have me as their form teacher next year when they heard about my interview LOL...even the P6 requested that I go to their sec school and be their form teacher...hahahaha.
Thanks to all my collegaues and HODs for your support...and thanks to all my students who keep wishing me luck for my interviews hahaha...if I made it through...its cuz of all of you...

Its going to be over soon . . .
Lately, everyday when I am in school, I just feel like taking a walk around. The aviary, the eco-pond, the Art Gallery, etc...seeing the kids running around during recess. They seem clueless...just them in their small little world....having fun, laughing with their frens. Its not their time yet to know the troubles of the real world.
I can't believe it, my time in the school is going to be over soon. Many said that its better elsewhere but I guess they don;t know what I went through while I am here in WGPS. There was a time where I went through a tough time. I did not share it with anyone...its jus how I am...always keeping things to myself and put on a smiley mask everyday.
During those times, being in the school with all the kids make my life kinda meaningful. They brought laughter into my life and make me forget the tough times. They had been a great bunch of kids. But they are still clueless about me leaving...I wonder what would they say if they know.I am never good with goodbyes. Its make me really sad when in class, they keep talking about seeing me again next year and stuff cuz I know, when they come back to school in 2009, I won't be there anymore...as for now, I am just counting down to the final day and cherish every moment I have left in the school....Thanks to all of you West Grovians...

Love. . wat does it means?
Many people like to say, "I am in love...I fell in love...". Wat does it mean actually?
Love...its just 4 letters but its a very big word. This is the word that can make someone's life beautiful or miserable. But there is one thing that I don't understand. People always say that when you want something, always ask and work for it with all your heart...and be sincere about it and you will get it in the end...it doesn't seem to happen in my life...I was sincere with all my heart but...it doesn't work out the way I would luv it to be.
Love...When a guy and a girl broke up...it don't always work out like in the movies...still being friends and stuff...usually, they start hating each other, finding faults and blaming one another. There is only one thing that I believe in...If you love someone, it don't mean that she has to be yours...to love someone is to see that someone being happy even though she is not by your side. Why do you love someone then if she is not by your side?...Well it is because, loving that someone makes me happy...Thats my believe...
Love...you do not plan it...you won't realise it. You just feel it...and when you felt it, its already too late. It makes your life beautiful....it makes your life complete...it makes your life meaningful. But when it leaves you, everything is gone...the beauty is gone, your life becomes empty and meaningless...

Reservist . . . does it sux???
Once again, the Nation needs me lol...I will be going for my Army In-Camp Training on the 25 November to 13 December 2008. Hmmm....3 weeks ICT. Well to me, its kinda fun. Maybe cuz I love the outdoor activities. I love being in the outfield doing combat simulation lol...maybe cuz i prefer dying in war as a hero then dying in bed of sickness. And another reason why I love In-Camp is becuz, for that 3 weeks, I don't have to do so much thinking...all I need to do is to follow orders given by my commanders. Done too much thinking at work so I guess this is a 3 weeks break for me.
The previous In-Camp that I had in February this year was my first one. I was excited about it at the same time clueless, dunno really know what to expect. But everything seems to workout fine. On the first day, I was shocked to see many of my ex-unit mates. Its like a reunion lol and for the upcoming days after that, we go through everything together just like before.
The best thing was that everyone was much more mature now. We were serious when we needed to and play hard when its off training time. I made new frens and catch up with old frens. We form a nice team..."The Band of Brothers". Really looking forward to the next In Camp.

After 9 years...what a reunion
I got a call from Mandy, my Sec 4 classmate....its been 9 years since we last seen each other in our sec 4 class in Nan Hua Sec LOL...She told me that she was organizing a class reunion. Hmmmm...sounds fun!
After 9 years, all of us finally met again. Everyone had changed a lot lol...some still looked the same hahaha. We talked and had fun. Well, we had 9 years of catching up to do. Eveyone was sharing about their job, about their life. Some are businessman, air steward, me a teacher lol. Everyone doing great in their lives...we laughed at our secondary days hahaha...looking back at the funny moments that we had. All are just memories but I am glad that we gathered again...

What keeps me cool in class...?
Hmmm...Just for your info, during my 2 years stay in the school that I am teaching in, I believe that I had never gotten mad or scolded any students before hahaha...don't believe me, you can ask any teachers and students in my school.
Want to know the secret?
Well, its simple actually...fishing is the answer. I go fishing every weekend. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with my family and sometimes alone. Sounds like a loser lol...well i prefer going alone actually...everything get done fast, no delays. When you fish, you cast your rod & bait and you wait. You just keep waiting till you get a big bite. But not all days are good. Big bites don't come easy. Sometimes, you might just end up going home with zero fish. To me, its all about the thrill and fun. The patience that I need to have while waiting for a bite trains me to keep cool in class in any situation. I also believe that respect is the main thing that I should have for the students in order for them to respect and listen to me. Its a two-way thing. I don't believe in shouting or screaming at them...makes me tired and well, I don't think its a respectable way to treat them. SO far, my students had been great. They respected me and we had fun during our lessons. They make my stay in the school a memorable one. Too bad I have to leave them soon....
